Occasionally, if I am sitting alone or with friends, everything is fine, then from nowhere I feel as though a shutter has come down in my brain. I lose interest in what I am doing and just want to sit quietly. It usually passes as the day goes on, or after a good nights sleep. Does anyone else experience this? I am now 75, but have had this all my life. I take tablets for a few different things but don't blame them.

I decided a few years ago I didn’t have enough hours/days left in my life to waste them doing things I didn’t want to, or being polite and accepting invitations to things I didn’t want to go to. So I don’t and it’s brill.
There are various states of mind one can drop into. I'd not worry about it were I you.

So i am also a lot happier now doing what i want to do.
Is it like day dreaming or going into autopilot?
