Oh has been diagnosed with a hernia by GP today and has been referred to a surgeon. Has anyone (male) been treated for a hernia and if so what is the average recover time? He's got a manual job so not like he can have the op then sit on his arrass at work. Thanks

Hey, Melv. Have you had your hip done yet?

(Excuse me Aunt Pol)
Had it done in August, Tilly.
OK now?
Not really. Been for some X rays this week, as I'm still in a lot of pain. Hopefully, it's not come loose.
Sorry to hear that. Take care.
Thanks for that, Tilly.
I think he needs to have this conversation with his doctor or surgeon as it will depend on the site of, reason for and the severity of the hernia. In these circs, other people's experiences may not be so helpful
