I just get the iompression that they are suddenly realising that this could well be a major crisis with many deaths and they are in panic mode over things like ventilators ... all plans should have been firmly in place by February. if not before. I cannot believe sitting in isolation and hoping, for possibly a further 3 months, will be effective at all......I am afraid I do not believe praying will have any effect either.
Mally - I would think that the government is more focused on the effect that adults of working age being infected, and the effect of that on the economy, and essential services, than the tragic but inevitable loss of life that this virus is going to cause.

Andy I just think that they should have got their act together a while ago...this has been a crisis that has been bubbling for a while and they seem to have ignored it....as an old woman with 'an underlying medical problem ' I quite accept that I may not see the next new year but I have paid into the systems for many years and would like to have a bit more time !! Of course I am equally sure that in the great scheme of things I am totally unimportant.
