Sealed Leather Skirt

I have a leather tube skirt that tears when I walk. I would like to put a nylon tape on the hem to prevent it.but thus the tight skirt would remain completely sealed.what do you think, seal the skirt or is it better not?

Leather shouldn't split. It may have over driec treat it with a leather conditioner to give it a bit of 'give' and get a friend to check your stride, it may be your walking style is wrong for a tube skirt. A binding will create a different problem in that with no give you will find it is like walking in bondage and it will be very uncomfortable

Try tottering along like a kooky blonde in a movie rather than striding like a guardsman on parade.

If that works you won't have to tape.

Lastly, are you sure it's leather?

It would appear Douglas has experience of tubed leather skirts, and the best way to ‘ walk’ in one . Great advice duggie.

This reminds me of the mid 80s when we wore mid-calf length tight skirts. A fun teacher at school offered us a pair of scissors so we didn’t have to hobble.

I guess in your case, OP, it’s the seam splitting rather than the leather. Just let it go, I’d say.
