This crisis has shown that A&E has in the past been massively abused.
There’s hardly anyone in them, we’ve not even had patients attending for abscesses etc as we normally would.
With APG’s underlying health condition, given that she won’t phone 111 as she knows she’ll be admitted, what else do you suggest, teacake?
My colleague who is currently vented on ITU was triaged via A&E upon his arrival here. Every single one of our Covid patients have also been admitted via that procedure.
The OP puts us and themselves in a bind.....phone and speak to Doctors or wait at home with a compromising pre-existing condition and take your chances.
My mate did exactly that....looks like he’s left it to late but we’re all hoping differently.
