My sister in laws aunt passed away last week...104, from Covid. Obviously alone...and will have no one to be present when she's buried. Her daughter( my SILs cousin ), daughters husband, and their son...have all tested positive.
Heartbreaking, really.

Maybe I shouldn't have put this here. If it can be moved...to Body and Soul, I'd appreciate it.
it's so terrible, people dying without seeing their families.
That must have come as a shock.
Pasta, am so sorry to hear your news.
So sorry to hear this Pasta.

Obviously I never knew her...but I feel terrible for my sister in law...and her cousins. Most of her relatives live in Florida...they are Cuban.

And...its causing me to wonder about all the cousins I've not seen in years. My brother used to keep in touch, but not so much anymore. There aren't too many left.
It is heartbreaking, Pasta. We had word from my mother’s home yesterday that she is very ill and the doctor thinks she doesn’t have long.
She will probably rally in her contrary way but if not it will be a death with no family to hold her hand, kiss her cheek and a lonesome burial. Dreadful times.
Dear God, I’m so very sorry Pasta xxxx
Sad news Pasta and Gness ♥
Question Author
That's dreadful Gness xx
Thoughts are with you Gness
Thank you. She’s 97 tomorrow despite having always celebrated her birthday in November. An Irish thing!
We can see her pulling through and outliving us all.
As Pasta says..... these are heartbreaking times to die and to lose loved ones.
I’m sorry pasta. Being away from home ( however long) always has an impact on our lives.
Very sorry to read this Pasta. Just so sad for all concerned. Quite distressing for you.

So sorry for you dear Gness. Just hope your mother is not in any physical pain.
Thank you, LadyJ. We were told last week that she had shingles. Then came this news. She has pneumonia....She is the strongest person but at the moment we don't think that is doing her any favours. She has had no speech for such a long time...can't communicate...we just hope she is pain free.
My sympathies to you both.
Thank you, Theland...x
