It's my office Christmas party this Saturday and already I'm feeling tense. How can I stop myself getting anxious? I've made a fool of myself in the past, (hasn't everyone? LoL) and quite frankly, I'm dreading it!

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Eat something before you go, find a sociable way to drink a bit less than your norm (drink spritzers instead of straight wine for example), use a few drops of Rescue Remedy (from the chemist) on your tongue when you feel worrysome and remember, you're as good as anyone else there!
As someone who gets a bit anxious at any sort of social occasion (mildly agoraphobic I think!) I always find concentrating really hard on being interested in others helps - asking questions to see if they have anything interesting to say is much better than stressing about what my reply will be of anyone talks to me!
