Gaviscon will help with the nausea. Try peppermint cordial, too.

Get an appointment, if it's frequent, you may have a hiatus hernia - manageable with Pantoprezole.

I have a hiatus hernia for which I was prescribed Lansoprazole and it works for me.

danny - I have one too, I think the drugs are the same, just different brand names.

I take 2 lansoprazole daily and Gaviscon Advance, but every morning when I wake up, I feel nauseous. GP prescribed a tablet called Cyclizine Hydrochloride, but I have none left, and it's quite bad today.

Barsel, if the medication is not working you need to see your GP.

Barel, just a thought, are you sleeping flat on your back? For hiatus hernia it is recommended that the bed head is raised so this might help you.

Do you leave 2 hours between taking the gaviscon and lansoprazole

I had a stomach scan earlier this year that showed I had inflammation in my stomach. A follow up scan was done on the 14th of this month, but I don't have the results yet.There has been no mention to me of a hernia. Not easy to see a GP yet, but could probably get a telephone consultation tomorrow. Was just hoping I could take something today as the Lansoprazole and the Gaviscon are not making any difference.

Margo, I take the Lansoprazole first thing the take Gaviscon after I've eaten, but I haven't been able to eat anything yet today. Have still taken the Gaviscon though.

I was just going to ask if you feel to sick to eat. Eating does help. I always go for sweets.

Are you able to get out and speak to a chemist? I was going to suggest a travel sickness pill which is available without prescription and many contain Cyclizine Hydrochloride.

Thanks ummmm. I do happen to have some hard boiled cough sweets left over from when I last had a cough. I will go and suck one and see if that helps.

I don't really know what to suggest but would definitely to to talk to your GP. Lifting the head of your bed may help. I had a house brick either side of mine before I started taking omeprazole 20mg daily, and it did help

Like ummmm I find sucking a boiled sweet helps if a get a flare up

Barsel, tou say that you take Lansoprazole first thing.It should be taken 1 hour before a meal. Maybe that is what is causing the feeling of nausea.

danny, I take Lansoprazole 1 hour before breakfast, but today I haven't been able to eat. I'm sucking a sweet as ummmm suggested and I think it might be helping.
