We went to see our friend, yes he's terminally ill but what an amazing outlook he's got , cheerful and happy for his life, came away feeling totally uplifted
Got a replacement part finally delivered for my swinging seat in the garden (after chucking a complete hissy fit), cleared a load of space in the garden and moved stuff around for girl to hedgehog watch (know you don’t like them, but the garden was full of them last night - they made so much noise I could hear them over the TV).
How many jobs we managed to complete today. Plus son made us dinner which was very nice. And he's going shopping tomorrow so all I have to do is write a list of what I want (I hate shopping)
A completely unexpected vid I from one of my grandsons and hid wife with their two children who had enormous fun running round and found my small garden and filling it with laughter . An enormous treat.
At Tashi's suggestion,on an earlier thread, I decided to throw my signature meal together in the garden. Set up the Paella cooking ring and invited youngest son around for a Rioja fuelled Paella. I was prepping all the veg etc inthe garden and a few spits and spots dropped but the sun came out and we had a great ,dry, tasty fiesta.

According to Dyson's own website, it's the 'controllability' of their hair dryer that makes it so special. i.e. users can choose between different exact temperature settings and use a range of attachments to get the hot air directed precisely where it's needed.
Being a cynic however, I'd suggest that much of the air is actually in their advertising!
Three hundred quid to dry my hair (if I actually had any, that is)??? I could buy a lot of towels for that!
Arsenal winning 2-1. Had a fiver on both teams to score and an Arsenal win @ 5/1 - £30 return. And a fiver on 2-1 correct score @ 14/1 = £75 return. Winning £105 always makes me happy :-)))
