Sorry, yes it is.
I just dont get it?
Sitting on the bus on the way home tonight, I was the only person on the bus for the most part but had to wear a mask. (Bus driver didnt have to wear one) On the way home & looking out of the window I passed several pubs with residents all sitting outside and in close proximity, maskless.
I get off the bus and go shopping in what was essentially an empty shop...wearing a mask of course...and yet sitting outside of the shops were numerous people, again all in close proximity, maskless.
I just dont get it.
Walking around my shopping centre last week and the Gestapo (sorry, security) refusing to let anyone in unless masked. But they themselves wernt masked, and neither were any shop workers, cleaners or shopping centre employees.
What a carry on.

Its a flaming joke.
Wear a mask (if ur Joe Public) or get fine/condemmed if you dont.
Except in public!!! You couldnt make this sh*! up if you tried.

yes, it's another Covid thread. No, nobody's get anything new to say about it so they'll repeat what they've been saying for months. But as long as you get it off your chest, that's AB therapy for you.
You are quite right, it's irrational. Mainly government feels that they need to be seen reacting and doing something, anything, after the criticism of earlier actions, to pacify the paranoid and desirous of zero risk. Zero risk can't be achieved but demanding the public do daft things is seen as something even though it smacks of the action of a totalitarian state. So, tug your forelock and comply or the masses will hunt you down, shopkeepers refuse you entry, and the police fine you.
It's simple. Face coverings required in shops, buses etc. but not in the open air. I presume your shopping centre is not fully roofed in, so face coverings not required by the centre staff. All the workers in our shops wear face coverings, unless they are protected by plastic screens. Our bus drivers are protected by screens. I realise it might seem a bit daft if you are the only person on the bus or in the shop but that's life.
I can’t be bothered to get wound up by it now, it’s all so nonsensical.

Just going to rob a bank now Mr Security Guard because my face is fully covered. Dont you worry now about COVID.
We got it fully covered!

LOL, got my local rag asking if you recognise local villans (all covered up) Face masks and all...
You are missing a trick Nails. You should be selling organic face masks made from Oatcakes with an optional choice of flavours. Bacon and cheese would be my choice with a hint of Daddy's Sauce of course. This aroma may not suit the most recently arrived potters and miners of course so in the name of Diver City you may need to consider a Nihari or Karahi option.
It's so obvious you must have thought of it but other people might get on the bus, Nailit. Yes, you could take it off if no-one else is on- let's face it who would say anything- but it's not good practice to keep fiddling with the mask.
It is daft.
Masks I’m sure are useful in certain situations but not in most of those where they are actually required. The public transport rule envisaged packed or at least semi busy trains and buses and it’s no doubt easier to have a blanket ban.
I don’t begrudge shop workers not having to wear them. Our local shop is a bit gestapo like. Nice friendly people but they are bit uppity if no mask is worn and they banned children months ago
It’s simple, a) wear a mask. b) don’t wear a mask. c) stop moaning .
