A face to face appointment with their GP?
I am having trouble booking a face to face appointment as it is for my husband and I don't think it's feasible to discuss over zoom.
The receptionist won't even let me in to the surgery to explain or even talk to a doctor via phone.
Your thoughts please.

Have you tried to make a telephone appointment?
If you have and were declined, what was the reason?
Our surgery is only making telephone appointments and then the doctor you speak to decides if they need to see you face to face.
Surgeries are being extremely cautious about letting anyone through their doors unless it’s absolutely necessary.
I won’t forget this betrayal by so called doctors and self serving dentists.
I saw my dentist a couple of weeks ago and have another appointment next week.
Have also had a good chat with my doctor on the phone, and a visit to the surgery.
From our local GP's website:

Is your GP also using eConsult (which is the NHS-approved means of making initial contact with your GP)?

If so, has your husband tried using it? (If the GP then thinks it necessary to see your husband in person, he'll be given an appointment at the surgery).

I initially made an appointment via phone for hubby only to be told he can only see the nurse. I thought ok she'll have to do. Set off on reaching surgery, I was denied entry so hubby went in alone but was not satisfied with outcome with the nurse.
I've spoken to two consultants, my GP and had blood tests...all arranged by them via my GP surgery.

Thanks Buenchico, will be checking this out tomorrow.
I had a telephone appointment with my gp on my mobile phone. I put it on speakerphone, which is what I do with most calls now as I find it easier to hear.
When the gp called, I told him he was on speakerphone and other half was listening and may have some questions. He was fine with that and we had a very successful telephone consultation.
Maybe try that?
This just reminded me , my daughter needs a couple of fillings and was told she could not have them done just now because of the spray that would be generated doing the fillings but was then told that they could be done as a private patient ????? she declined !
I'm in the same position as Vagus - made a phone appointment, explained my symptoms and was told to come in for a personal appointment that afternoon.

Generally though they won't let you discuss someone else's problems, particularly over the phone - couldn't he talk to them himself?
