I am a very light sleeper. I have been buying earplugs in Boots but find I can still hear noises that waken me up. Any ideas ?

Wax earplugs are the best, they mould to the shape of your ear and cut out all noise. Any chemist will sell them.
If you're using Boots wax earplugs and you can still hear noises then you have probably not got them in correctly silka. Warm them and wiggle them about in your ears until you can't hear anything.

Oh thanks to you both. I will try the warming first. They are wax.
I only soften mine between my fingers first and then push them into my ears when softened. I never warm them first. Well I didn't back when I used to have to wear them due to noisy neighbours. Luckily they are long gone.
That's what I meant ILM, warm between fingers. Sorry obviously not clear enough.
That's ok lb, I had visions of silka holding them in front of the fire until they were warm! I misunderstood too.
