Breach Of Court Order

Hi there
, My Partner has been separated from his ex for 2 years and she still has his possessions at her property. He has been to court and a court order was issued for her to allow him in to the property to retrieve these items.
On arrival at the property (police officer was also present to keep the peace) his ex did not allow him in and did not allow any of his possessions to leave. My partner was then told to leave by the police office as his ex was becoming verbally abusive and aggressive towards everyone and it did not look like he was getting any of his belongings.
He has since been to court again and the judge advised that this matter should be sorted out between the solicitors. My partner has written her a letter stating the items he wants and she has not replied. Please could someone advise what the next step would be. They have children together and we are trying to get things sorted so that the only communication needed would be for the children. Is this a breach of a court order and if so what is the best thing to do? TIA

Unless these items are incredibly valuable or personal I would just walk away and let her keep them - she is clearly enjoying the game!

The items are very personal as they were together 15 years and have 5 children he was forced to leave with nothing but the clothes on his back

Although the police will not interfere in civil matters, surely a court order can be enforced by bailiffs who can force entry, or have I got it wrong?

But hes done without them for 2 years - are they really so important?
