Dull Silver Plate Forks

I have cleaned them with the soda crystals, hot water and tin foil trick, l have rubbed them with Brillo pads but cannot get them to shine. Will anything else help other than re plating? Thanks all

I doubt it....if you have brillo'd them its pretty much certain you will have taken the plate off!

Ha, you are probably right! The soda crystals didn’t work so that was my next idea ...

I think there are dips you can buy but read carefully. I dipped my best cutlery in it and it made a mess of the knife handles as that was obviously a different metal

If the tin foil thing didn't work, the plate had probably worn away previously anyway.
