I've been told by my uni that I need to produce a Doctor's note because I've missed more than a week of lectures and classes. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, do I go for a normal appointment then just ask for a note?

Yes, just ask for one. Some doctors don't like to do it when it's after the event. If he/she does supply one to you, I believe you will be charged 10 because it is back dated.

Hope this helps :)

Hi

I was able to get one by just phoning the surgery, you could maybe try that first. I didn't have to pay for it though

I've only ever had one once, I think I had to go in, but what I said was that i'd had flu and knew that the best thing was rest and liquids and I didn't want to bother the doctor because i knew there was nothing s/he could do. However my uni etc ... that way they don't think you're on the blag, even tho i wasn't and i'm not saying you are. just justifies the appointment a bit more to them.

ask doctor for a MED3. This a doctors statement that you normally send to employer so you can get sick pay . B ut the uni must take it and it costs nothing
