Going back to work

Can anyone give me any advice or help? I have just seen a brilliant job that is perfect for me in every way in our local rag!! Only one problem... the job is very similar well totally similar to my last job which i was in for two years. Unfortunatley i was signed off sick for 3 months due to stress and in the end i left my position. Now everything is good and i really want to get back into work. As i said this job is perfect - its working in th NHS where i worked before it has virtually the same job spec as my last job, the only difference is that instead of working in a hospital as before i would now be working at HMP. I know i have the qualifications they are looking for and i was really good at my last job (not boasting!) but its just i know they are gonna ask for the days and reasons i took sick leave ,when i tell them it was down to stress i don't want them to be put off by that - i want them to see past all that and recognize my qualities. So what would i write on the application form for that absence part and what if they ask during the interview, how do i sell myself? I REALLY want that job!! please help.........xx

If so, do you really want to put yourself through all that again, no matter how great you are at your job? If your problems were personal then you have either resolved the issues or removed the source so you are unlikely to have the same problem again. Either way you will now recognise anything likely to bring on similar problems and will therefore be able to act before the situation becomes so great you need to take long term time off work.
I'm not saying that's not how you should sell yourself, just my observations (such as they are) on your situation. Very very very very good luck and I hope you not only get through to the interview selection but also GET THE BLOOMIN JOB!
