I use this for my nose. My wife has a dry, crusty, sore ear (not the inner ear) and Savlon has not helped.
Would it be okay to use Naseptin?

Apparently Naseptin if used too long can make you hard of hearing! Perhaps don’t use too close to ear canal ....
Smurf........nonsense.....where do you get that from?
I have never heard of it but my daughter has a dry crusty sore bit behind her ear that's not getting any better I washed it in the bath and used sudocreme but that didn't work. What could I use for that?

With reference to smurfchops' answer at 16:53:
If you have hearing problems it is important that you speak to your doctor before using Naseptin. Naseptin could make your hearing worse. [Patient Information Leaflet]
Bookbinder.......nonsense again.
Where did you get that rubbish?
Smurfy......my advice has always been to everyone read the instructions and this is a classic case which causes unnecessary concern amongst avid readers.

It contains neomycin which in rare cases can be ototoxic (damages the hearing) when given by mouth or intravenously, in large doses particularly in the presence of kidney failure.
As a cream applied to the skin, the above doesn't apply and is perfectly safe to use.
