its not always sweet stuff no, munchies maybe you are referring to.....drugs make your mouth less recepetive to taste...strong sweet and salty flavours are favoured best because u can almost actually taste them, also eating any normal food would prob make u feel sick when on or coming off of drugs

I was told they buy sweet stuff to use the silver wrapper. Somebody spotted a milky bar on the floor and thought poor kid had dropped it then he saw another milky bar and then further down the road. He realised what was going on.

Slightly off on the 'drugs make your mouth less receptive to taste' line. Cannabis alters the brains reaction to a variety of stimulus (particularly taste and sound), therefore someone with the 'munchies' will be experiencing intense responses to flavours (sweet, salty etc). It could explain why the chocolate is so expensive in the hotel mini-bars of Amsterdam!
