Personal Hair Hygiene

I cant be the only person that dislikes body hair?
Men shave their face
Women shave their armpits/legs
(I shave my head but thats irrelevant)
Some of us shave other body bits.

Why?
I find hairy armpits on a woman gross.
But dont know why.
Ive had girlfriends that have found beards on a man gross.

What is it about body hair?
No-one likes to see hairy nostrils and ears...even on a man ;-)

I love chest hair on men .... but wish all men would shave under their arms.....(PS husband has never obliged me in this regard)

I like beards as long as they are not too bushy. Hairy nostrils and ears are gross though, let's face it !

But why do we find hair gross?

Because as I said it's coming out of ears or noses - ughhh !

I don't... men are supposed to be hairy... I think women do the opposite to accentuate the differences, but you can't beat a hairy chest :-)

Ok with body hair on either sex. I know... I'm flexible....except back hair and thick gorrilla hair on men. Women generally don't have this problem.... Well apart from hairy Mary but that's for another thread on another site.

It's cultural. Some cultures celebrate hair and beards (India comes to mind)

Nailit, not all of us do find it gross. I love hairy armpits on a woman. There is a cultural shift away from natural bodies, and that takes us away from our ancient animal instincts. This is not necessarily a good thing; we have young people worrying about their body image and sometimes self-harming or committing suicide; all because of the widespread dissemination of judgmental bossy people or mere attention seekers.

I once (in my youth I might add) bedded the most attractive girl.
But she had armpit hair. I couldnt perform!!! It totally did it for me.
Just couldnt. She might as well have had a penis.

I remember many years ago tearing around a holiday island in a hire car with a friend and we spotted a nice hotel which catered to the German tourist market. We fancied a bit of trespassing onto their beach and sun loungers for an hour or so. We managed to get onto the loungers and donned our bikinis. I remember my friend said "For God's sake don`t lift your arms up or they`ll know you`re not German" I must have lifted my arms up because Security came along and threw us out.

The hair under my arms doesn't grow. It's a bonus for me.

Hair on a mans bum or back I find a real turn off. Don't mind their hairy legs or arms.

it is a pity that body hair grows at a fast rate and won't grow on the head for many men - why is that.

my own nephews have gone "thin" - yet their dad had great hair until he died as the rest of my bros. Twins had fantastic thick ginger hair.
