Sorry if this has already been asked, but have any Abers had the vaccine yet?
Just reading that Tom Jones and //Great British Bake Off star Prue Leith, 80, Lord Of The Rings star Sir Ian McKellen, 81, Rock and roll legend Marty Wilde, 81, are just some of those to share their happiness after receiving the vaccine.//
These famous people are 80 or 81yrs old. My brother is 84 yrs old and hasn't heard a thing.
Just wondered if any of our over 80's or 75's have had theirs yet?

I've no idea how many members there are on here, but surely some must have had it.
I think LadyBirder has had it.

Pooka, there's a chance it could be delayed for 12 weeks. Not sure the reason for this but the government are saying it will be better this way!
Sister's father in law 89 was to get it on Monday but it was cancelled as they haven't got the vaccine to give!
It’s all going swimmingly ...
I had covid in July, my wife too. Worst experience ever, really really bad. Avoid it, you dont want it.

Dagman do you mean tomorrow or last Monday? I thought it was rolling out tomorrow.
Still waiting to hear about my nan. She's 89 and hasn't had any notification yet.
We just have to hope that the "new" Oxford vaccine they are rolling out tomorrow gets things moving.
Took the dog for a walk yesterday, and there was a traffic jam to the inoculation centre. As I walk past all the cars I could see the occupants faces, and none of them were 80+. Mainly 30-50 year olds as far as I could see.

They were doing a lot. I went out late afternoon, and the roads were still gridlocked.
a few of the over 80s around us have
generally REALLY relieved.
30 to 50 year olds sunk. Really? How did they manage to get it? Maybe they were escorting older people.
I am really surprised that people are nt doing it quicker. If I were given 50 doses of vaccine i would make sure the 25 neighbours wd get it. It has to be i.m which is not that a big a deal.

Israel has done a million. - whereas in the Land of the Free, they got it on Fri and said - "well we gardda a lodda lodda work to do start Monday!"
Some doctors surgeries have opted out.

Barsel, he was told tomorrow.
Sticking to the Pinot Grigio for the mo.

I was surprised at their ages. Went past 4 times (there and back on the dog walk, and there and back shopping).
No mistake, the majority were middle aged and not old.
I presumed later they must have been front line hospital workers.
