Ok, so I saw breast doctor/surgeon in breast clinic yesterday. He said I won’t get official mammogram/ ultrasound results for 3 weeks as they have to be looked at by two separate doctors, but that he’d had a look himself and In his opinion he is 99% sure I do not have the ‘C’ word. If anything shows up I will get a phone call, so no news is good news at the moment. He thinks it could be hormones. He couldn’t find the lump yesterday and tbh I couldn’t really find it tho he did admit I was v tender in that area. Suggested in meanwhile starting to take Evening Primrose oil. Fingers crossed his initial diagnosis is correct,
Thanku you all for being so supportive for me in my paranoid moments x

Really glad to see that, smow xx can't blame you in the slightest for having a panicky moment. I'm sure I would have too. Best wishes xx
Encouraging so far Smow.
Great news. If you examine your own breasts lying in a warm bath is a good position. Also remember during your period and just before and after there could be changes. The best thing is to examine them at the same time in your cycle each month

When it comes down to our own health (particularly our own, potential, life threatening health,) I think that we are all paranoid.
Hope all works out well Smow :-)
I'm so pleased for you Smow, it must have been really frightening for you especially with the family history you have , smile things are looking better x
That's good news Smow. Now just hold on to it, and stay positive. My best wishes to you x
Yes great news Smow.
Best wishes to you, and your family who worry about you.
Paranoia?
Yes I've had that in the last few days and completely understand when it seems you are at a crossroads.

Great news.
Pity you have had to wait 6 weeks to put your mind at rest.
Looking very hopeful so far, Smow. Keep positive. x
Good news, may there be more - or none :-) My continued best wishes to you.

Thanku all so much xx
Buenchico - sorry to disappoint lol
That’s fantastic news. I’m so pleased for you x
So, they didn't do a biopsy? that in itself is good news. Absolutely ridiculous you have to wait that long for a mammograph result, I cannot understand why. Evening primrose...seriously?
Smow that's good, even in current circumstances I would think they would have admitted you if it was serious on scan

I haven’t even googled yet what evening primrose oil is for.....
tony -admitted her to what exactly? A few on here have gone through this process and its the same process -you go for a mammograph, following a look at it and perhaps a scan, the consultant decides if a biopsy is required it is taken with a needle and the cells looked at under a microscope -if they find anything that could be 'dodgy' you are referred on for further tests. If not you are sent on your way. this obviously is not what happened to smow. The consultant could not even find a lump so it sounds like a ,thankfully, false alarm.

Then maybe you should if your consultant advised taking it.
It's in capsule form Smow and can be bought over the counter at Boots and most pharmacies
