Friend of youngest who has been on a ventilator since the day after Boxing Day has now developed pneumonia. Obviously her mother, sister and my youngest are all very upset and anxious and worried.
I realise this i not of real interest here but if some of you could spare her a kind thought that would be appreciated. She is in her mid-forties and normally healthy with a great zest for life. She is also a key worker..
Thank you all for your good wishes. I will pass them on to her mother, sister and my youngest in the hope that they bring them some comfort to realise that others hope all improves soon.
I realise that a lot of people are in this position but when you know the person concerned and how much happiness and energy she normally radiates it comes home even more how horrid this virus is.
It certainly does, LadyJ. We can read of so many and feel deeply for them but when you get a phone call about someone close and then spend day after day waiting for news it really knocks the stuffing out of you. Never for a moment are you not thinking and hoping.
Thank you for asking Eve. I haven't spoken to daughter yet today. I don't like to ring her during the day as she works nights and she usually gives me a ring just before she sets off. I also don't like to ring the hospital too often as I consider they have more than enough to do. Always very busy when I have rung.
Very kind of you to ask and I will let you know as soon as I hear from her.
i have had my vaccination jab, though it caused no end of problems, but i am glad that its done, and that i will eventually get the second vaccination in 12 weeks or so.
Thank you emmie, woof, hellywelly and pixie. I will pass on your good wishes.
She is a fighter and always loved life so I have every hope she will recover fully.
