Anyone who has had the vaccine. Which is the best one of the two. Pfizer or the AstraZeneca. Having mine on Tuesday just curious. Just happy to have either. Thank you

It really doesn't matter.
Seems that the Oxford vaccine attracts the most side effects in my opinion, but it matters not Pfizer OR Astrazeneca.

I had the Pfizer, but don't know if it's the best or not. Had no side effects personally.

You won't know until you drop down dead. And even then it might be just a coincidence. Your question is premature.

Pros and cons, the Astra Zenica is causing concern for the SA mutation but the 12week delay is supposed the be beneficial. The Pfizer is reported to be OK for the mutation but arguments against the delay.
There is no choice about what you will get, I had the Pfizer and no side effects at all. Three people we know had the AZ and had a few days being very unwell. Mr U had very mild side effects with the Pfizer.

Both my parents had the Pfizer and both had mild side effects.

Had the 1st dose of Pfizer. Am going into a research trial at work to track the antibodies level over the next year (had asymptomatic Covid last year - showed up in an antibody test in July), so should know whether it works ....

I had the AZ one about an hour and a half ago. I don't seem to have dropped dead yet!

My parents both had Oxford, a little fatigue and then fine, more side effects seemed to be with the 80s, 90s. My sister had Pfizer (which I didn't know), also tired then fine. I have to book mine now, have an invitation, but it will be a "spare", so I don't know which one.

At the moment, there is no Best. It might be different in a couple of years time as scientists develop them to fight new variants and as they reduce side effects, but for now, any vaccination is a good vaccination.

I had the AZ one on Tuesday, slight reaction ie high temp in the night a terrible thirst and a bit of a lethargic Wednesday but that's it ,

We've had a few a bit shivery, so that seems a normal reaction too.

My OH had A Z,
I had Pfizer. No problems except a sore arm for one day.

I had the Oxford one. Next day aches in joints, felt poorly, got shivers. Next day all gone away.

Best not to even think about it as both are effective and have been approved. No point in worrying about whether you should of refused it and waited for what some think (rightly or wrongly) might be better, Just take what comes and celebrate afterwards.

Husband had Oxford yday. Sore arm but that's all

I had the Pfizer on Thursday and apart from feeling hot and a bit bleugh the next day, that was all. I’m fine now.

My daughter who has Chrohns’s had a bad reaction to the AstraZeneca. Freezing cold and then boiling hot. This could have been because she is immunosuppressant, not sure.

chrissa1 - I have Crohns, same as your Daughter, and I'm on Immunosuppressants, I had the same reaction as your Daughter, it also left me really tired for about a week ,but it was worth it.just waiting for my second jab now.

I'm having mine on wed,most people who have had the vaccine there have had the oxford one.As others have said you have no choice as to which one you get,i'm a little nervous due to the fact i have a needle phobia but have ten days off work afterwards so if i have any side affects i have plenty of time to recover.
