Been to see my mum today, in hospital.
Just sat with her for an hour.
Sedated of her eyeballs but appears to be pain free.
The first and only time that I kissed her and told her that I love her as I left.
We just wernt a touchy feely kind of family.

that's all you can do, nailit - we're not a touchy-feely family either - been a bit of 'clearing the airways' today here......worth it though!
I'm so glad you got that chance to say that Nailit.

Thank goodness her pain has been lifted.
Bless you Nailit. I am glad that her and your ordeal is almost over.
Must be such a weight off you to know that she is no longer in pain. You will never regret those words and that kiss.
Well I hope she felt your kiss and heard you. Don't let it be the only time. I just love my occasional kisses from my grown up sons.
Oh nailit, do you think she recognised your voice? When I've been in similar situation have had a hand sqeeze as some sort of recognition.
She knows you love her. Try to reassure her that you will be okay after she is gone and that you will take care of yourself and that may help her find peace as she passes over.

Thoughts are with you.
My thought are with you too Nailt , kiss her and send her on her final journey x

I held her hand for a few seconds but she pulled away.
But thats ok.
Managed to wet her lips with a drop of water.
Her mouth is white with thrush.
It's good that she is somewhere where she is comfortable and she knows that you love her.
If there's time, kiss her forehead and tell her you love her
Well done, Nailit. You'll never regret it. I had the privilege of being able to go into hospital and saying goodbye to my Mum 10 days before she died- its exactly a month ago today she passed away. The pain of losing her will stay with me forever, but I'll also be forever grateful to the ward sister for allowing me to come and spend that 15 mins with her. Thinking and praying for you, and your family.
Good that she's out of pain and relaxed. Glad you kissed and held your Mum's hand. You'll feel so much better now. Thinking of you. x

I did exactly that, first time ever.
It felt sad/weird/unusual
But right!
You will find comfort in those actions, at a later date, and be glad that you did them.
Best wishes. x
That's lovely Nailit x
