From the link posted: "However, the speed and convenience of these tests comes at the expense of accuracy, meaning care needs to be taken in the interpretati on and communicatio n of results." Precisely. However, if it makes you feel good, then that is a good reason I guess. If you are happy about the prospect of self- isolating then, again, no problem. And...

I'm saying why also. I can understand those who've not had the vaccine doing it, or those in jobs where they have a lot of contact with the public or children. But they probably get tested anyway.
I may do it when I finally have a visit from my daughter and her partner. But to do it every week...just in case? Nope.

if I were to test positive I would self isolate as per the roolz. Not likely to happen though as the tonsil touch would make me vomit profusely. I am thinking I should get one in case I did get symptoms. My neighbour on one side is frail and elderly and I have an older sister who is bubbled with me who visits often. I am not so worried about her as by the time i see her again she will have had both vacs and i don't go out much at all (old frail dog)
fmilies with school age children have been able to get them for a while. You are not supposed to get primary aged children to do it, and i don't want to do them. I did however get some for if my old people want some reassurance when they are allowed to see us (or if for example my daughter wants to go and stay with them when she's allowed). Having said that we are seeing them next week and i asked if they'd like us to do the tests before we see them and they said "no, why?"!

I am truly shocked that a med can ask why there is general testing in a disease where the carrier rate is 30%
er to find out where it is - I suppose is the AB answer
[they are now saying the spread is by the walking well without symptoms possibly in the prodromal phase]- certainly a possible scenario, which was noticed in 1665 Plague year - that the cases seems NOT to be generated by the ill and dying but by the walking well.
and yes I have my free kits - very efficient from who ever posted the address late last week - many thx
