But it wasn't.....

No, as it turned out :0)
I knew it wasn't thalidomide because the current CTMW year is 1966 - thalidomide was banned in 1961. The topic was very well covered in a previous series.
The effects of radiation is going to be good running topic this series.
I haven't watched the new series yet but last series I found it getting a bit too sappy. I will watch it though, its escapism if nothing else.
Only three births last night, APG :D And a shock of nuns' knees on show

The new private doctor reminded me of Max Headroom from Red Dwarf :0/
Yes! Max Headroom, ha ha. He's a bit of a sleaze but I did like him in The Last Post. Shame that series was cancelled
Max Headroom wasn't on Red Dwarf.

You may mean Max Headroom, or you may mean Kryten ...
Good to see Olly Rix in it, too. I liked him in WPC 56.
M...m...m...maxheadroom!

I did find Max Headroom funny at the time. Not so much now
I must be one of the few who can't stand this programme - it is so predictable and characters/plots sterotyped. I saw the original one with the thalidomide baby and the father's attitude then the nurse leaving it to do near an open window - and all the other stories are very predictable.
*die not do

That’s him, , that doctor looked just like him
Me too, lankeela. I started it, but got bored quickly. I have just now started from the beginning, so will give it another go.
