Aita? Am I In The Wrong?
3 Answers
Am I in the wrong for not wanting to lend my mom money? I've helped pay bills since I got a job on literally my 16th birthday. When it's tight I've always been willing to help. It was a group decision after pandemic started for me to stay home cook and take care of my little brother. I'm suppose to be getting $100 every two weeks. Well they pay my college tuition and money has been tight so i haven't been payed in months. However, I've never really spent my money and after I was partially paid back I continue to put it back into my account and let it stay there as I have next to no expenses. Recently I've lent my mom over 1100 within in two weeks and I have like 700 left in my account which I'm saving to help my dad pay first months rent when his trailer he's going to be renting is over (they're getting divorced) and today mom asks to borrow money for tools to fix her car. I hesitated when she asked and she threw a fit and became hateful to me. Am I wrong for not just giving her the money when between my two parents mostly my mom I'm already owed nearly $4000? AITA for not just automatically giving her my money when she asked? Especially as she tried to make me out to be in the wrong to my grandpa acting like she was going to pay me back immediately when it's not her pay day but dads who she was already suppose to give me 300-400 from?
