I have this dreadfully - in the end my doctor prescribed Omeprazole and that works very well. But if I miss a day ..... lol
Omeprazole, available over the counter
I didn’t actually realise that tbh
I take it and ran out and was told I could but it over the counter by the doctors whilst I waited for my prescription, its expensive tho.
Boring advice from me but try keeping a food diary to locate trigger foods, we all know PPI's are not safe to use long term so maybe some lifestyle changes may help. I have done this and no longer suffer from reflux.
I would want tests to rule out anything more serious if I was having to take antacids regularly with no obvious cause (other meds, spicy food etc.).
