morning everybody, i hope you are well, and that you have a good day whatever you have planned. i have some deliveries coming today, not sure what time so it might be a case of staying in, which would be a shame as the weather forecast looks like another bright and sunny day - its a little humid for my liking at the moment, hence the early start.

morning Martin

its only 5.30am, what time you normally take them out.
They have my up any time from 330! Normally take out at 6 before I start work.
Jess doesn’t sleep very well
Question Author
i guess one doesn't have any choice when it comes to animals, dogs have to be walked, and i guess if you are working, then that means an early start.
Question Author
i had a cat for 16 years but he didn't take much looking after really, fed and watered and made a fuss of when he came back in from his roaming. i wouldn't have another as i was heartbroken when he died.
Morning guys. Can’t sleep as too humid and still breathless, but looks like being another gorgeous day.
Morning Emmie. I was spark out before 9pm last night and had a solid 8 hours. Why is it that when you sleep well you always feel you need more? My limbs feel heavy and weak too ... I think I'd better get some more Ferrous Sulphate.
Morning Smow.
Colin would happily sleep in but Jess gets anxiety and needs me with her.
I don’t mind I have always been an early riser.

morning smow, Lcg
Question Author
it does that smow, i will be disappointed if i end up staying in the whole day.
Don’t think I’ve slept more than 2 hrs in a row for a couple of years now! Once I’m awake I’m awake tho - have already put washing machine on.
Question Author
i didn't have any chores to do, just had a shower, that should wake me up a bit.
Smow, have you tried reading in the evening and then going to bed at the same time everyday? Apparently it takes a couple of weeks to get used to the routine and then you sleep better.
LadyG - I did try it for a while but the prob is that mr smow has such different sleeping habits to me! I like a fan on - he hates it. Even in this weather he has all windows shut and the bedroom is stifling. I end up going in the spare room half the time where there is another lovely pedestal fan. He sleeps 10 hrs solid every night without moving - and snores!
Question Author
i wake from these horrendous dreams, this time at 3am. not really been back to sleep since then, so by 9am i will be getting tired, its all up in the air.
Why not just sleep in the spare room instead of moving about? Make it your own retreat?
Then you might just need to have separate rooms, Smow. Many couples do. My late grandparents did for very similar reasons to the ones you describe.
Sounds stupid but I see having separate rooms as a bit of a failure. I know that’s ridiculous, even tho he’s not the cuddly affectionate type anyway (he wouldn’t know if I was in the bed or not!!) - he bizarrely sleeps on his stomach for 10 hours lol!
Husband and I did it for years, only started sharing again 4 years ago. Both he and I slept so well when apart. We both have such different sleeping patterns he goes to bed late I go early, he gets up late I get up early.
It works now but the separate rooms probably saved our marriage
