In middle of house move.
SATS not good.
Went for a ride on my scooter in Brotherton Park, Dibbinsdale nature reserve.
Slid into the river.
Fire brigade and ambulance were called.
Am OK but breathing bad.
Doxycycline and Prednisolone again.
Staying with daughter whilst rest of family complete the move.

Indeed Mozz, the embarrassment was absolutely awful.
Firemen an Paramedics were wonderful. Bless them all.
I think the sheer embarrassment would be worse than any injury. Will your scooter be OK when it dries out?
Question Author
Oh yes. It works fine. Amazingly :-)
Sorry to see you've been in the wars Theland, I hope you're feeling better soon.
Oh dear. Should you be seeking adrenaline thrills in your state of health? Hope you feel alright now.
Question Author
Lady Janine, yes I'm OK now.
Can't put the clock back regards health, but doing alright.
I promised one of my granddaughters she could dye my shoulder length hair BLUE.
Why not?
Memories are made of this etc etc.
I'm good for a laugh, or being laughed at. Who cares?
Mrs T cringes at the thought :-)
House move, BLUE hair, survive a scooter crash, what's not to like?
Were you on your own, Theland?
There are quite a few people here (including me) who wish that they had enough hair to make it worthwhile dying it blue ;-)
Go for the blue Theland, my Daughter has just gone candy floss pink (not for the first time).
As well as the blue hair, why not tart your scooter up a bit too?

Hope you’re ok x

I like that Chris :-)

Yes I'm fine. Ready for my next adventure :-)
(Thank goodness it didn't make the !local news!)
I read your OP and thought - what the hell is he doing on a scooter! Thinking of an electric two wheel jobbie.
Gave me a laugh anyway (at my misunderstanding, not your misfortune)
Is your scooter okay?
TL - glad to know you are now feeling a lot better. That could have been an adventure a little too far. Try to think of something more fun next time.
Blue hair? Good. Go for it. G/daughter dyed mine on Christmas to make me look more festive (it is usually fuchsia pink or with purple streaks) and I thought she was giving me red streaks but no - bright green.
I know what I want for my next big outing but will have to get health sorted out a bit first.
Sorry to hear about your relapse Theland, don't you have oxygen at home?
Ah, theland, that's awful! Not just the embarrassment, but something that sudden can shake you up for a while as well. Take care and let everyone else do the work x
Definitely, blue hair (it looks better for the wheelies). We once dyed a client's hair temporary purple, he wanted to surprise his daughters and it started as a joke, until he actually decided to. We did actually check with them first, in case he was allergic or anything silly- and they loved the idea. So, as their "surprise", we added some girly butterfly transfers down his arm as well.
Every time he told us about their faces when they first saw it, he was literally crying with laughter. They still tease us now... :-)
Take it easy, Theland, glad you weren't seriously injured in your escapade, and wish you a full and speedy recovery.
