Stoma Reversal
10 Answers
My hubby has just had a reversal. He is so weak. He is at home but very tired and spends most of the day in bed sleeping. In your experience normal. TIA

His surgeon wasn’t keen on reversing the stoma but our neighbour insisted so it was done.
I’m sorry I don’t know how he was immediately post op but here we are, seven years later and he’s great. He’s 73, has a very physical volunteer job, does all his own decorating, and pre COVID he and his wife travelled extensively.
Very best wishes to you and him :)

Getting back to normal activities is the easy bit, he has the whole process to get over, not just the most recent surgery. Most of the time he may seem fine but he may have unexpected bad days for months, just reaction and normal. Even Cancer survival takes a toll, and while he will hopefully be grateful and relieved all sorts of things can go through his head, sometimes without any reason. Hope you have many wonderful years, my best wishes
