I broke two (heavely filled) molars a few weeks back.
Dentist managed to patch them up.
Ones ok but the other one is quiet sensitive...biting or anything cold etc.
Went back today and given a course of Amoxecillan (Yes I know thats not spelt right, its off the top of my head))
Appointment in 2 weeks time to see how things have gone.
But looks like either an extraction or root filling.
Which would you rather have?
(Never had a root filling)
Just get rid of it sounds like a plan at the moment!!!

I've had quite a few and they really are no problem; certainly not compared to extraction. Its usually done over two appointments, but after the first one where they remove the pulp, the tooth is effectively dead and will never hurt again. Bonus! Second appointment is usually needed just to check that all is well before filling.

I've had root canal fillings and didn't suffer any pain. I did have an on / off pain in my lower jaw for years that was agony for days at a time to the point I couldn't eat. I was treated for neuralgia, the drugs knocked me about.
It all stopped when a back tooth was removed, such a relief.
The gap isn't obvious and it doesn't affect the chewing.
The filling should be the same price as an extraction, I think.

Still chewing it over ;-)
(Isn't about time we got emojis on here?)
Thinking about having it out now.
(Rather than more mercury stuffed into my mouth)
Appriciate all replies, thank you!
NO part of our body can stay young forever.
Teeth have to go as much as virility, hair, body shape etc.
Thank you for all replies.
