Reserving A Sunbed

Saw "Holidays From Hell" on TV last night and people fighting for sunbeds.

Have you ever had a sunbed fight or witnessed animalistic behaviour regarding the reservation of a poolside sunbed?

Never had that sort of holiday, thankfully.

Never, I wouldn’t lower my self , I witnessed the greasing of palms in Turkey though where some bribed the barman to put reserved on bed for them

As I've always said selfish and greedy people, along with acting like little kids. What hope do we have? They pay all that money just to bag a sunbed:0)

Never, but we do not usually travel at the height of the season. Stayed at one hotel that allocated you a sunbed when you arrived, attached room number to it, no-one else could use it. Thought that was a great idea.

I used to wake early, go down for a swim and do a couple of sincerest the same time. As I wanted a pair in the shade I was never in any battles.... Unlucky suckers it might be in the shade at 0800, it wasn't in the afternoon.

Same as Barry. Wouldn't consider that sort of holiday. In would rather stay at home!

Yes, many years ago in Spain. Folks were getting up in the middle of the night to reserve sunbeds with their towels. The fights the next morning when they found their towels tossed to the floor and new occupants lying on "their" beds!!!

For some people all they want from a holiday is to go home with a suntan.

Holidays abroad turned into what I would call, a cattle market. Herd them in the airport, herd them to the gate, herd them to the plane, herd off the plane, herd them into the hotel, sometimes herd them off to the local hospital after dinner. The funny part is they pay thousands of pounds for this experience. :0)))))))

Haha Sharon, that might have been me. At one hotel we stayed at they had towels out very early. Wife and I used to lob them into the pool on the way to the beach.

once, I got down to the pool lobbed a load of towels to one side and sat down and waited. When some lumbering mess a of a bloke came over and said he'd reserved it I just said, there was no system for reserving a sub bed and suggested he got up earlier. He wandered off mumbling!

jno in that video they just put their towels on and go off, they are not even using them. I just pick the one I want an lob the towel in the corner. TBH though I haven't bee on a hol like that for nearly 20 years.
