It's Yom Kippur, I believe, starting today. I won't ask 'what are you having for dinner?' but what are you planning for breaking your 'atonement' as in 'break-fast'?
Even though I am a Gentile, I see that we as an AB community don't seem to have much of an appreciation of our third 'divine' religion, not that we have much of the second either.
It's Yom Kippur - a fasting period but when break-fast comes, Jewish families (and extended to we Gentiles) go overboard with their meal - and there can be some amazing dishes. It's not like Xmas with the traditional turkey, though lamb does often feature.
Yep - if you have never been to a break-fast in either of the other two religions or even with the Orthodox religion, try it - it's fun and you don't have to be overtly religious, Atheist....
