How Long Before I Am Sure I Don't Have Covid?

My daughter has today taken a Cvd test as she says every bone in her body is aching and she's in agony. It has confirmed she is positive. We were last together on Sat 18th Sept, outside in my garden for roughly half an hour. When will I be sure I haven't caught it from her? BTW we both had two jabs very early as she works with children and I am classed as extremely vulnerable.

Most people were told to isolate for 10 to 14 days if in contact with positive patient

Unfortunately it's not an exact science. Originally those who'd been in contact with a positive case were told to isolate for 14 days and then that was reduced to 10 days quite some months ago. Fingers crossed you will be Ok LB, sure that's the last thing you need.

Oh thank you all, you're very kind. This is my 8th day so that's quite good I guess and not much longer to wait to be sure. I feel so sorry for her as she had already been in pain for the last 2-3 weeks because one of her charges had deliberately kicked her at the bottom of her spine. She has been hobbling ever since. I want to hug her but I can't. Sob!

It’s very hard my daughter was one of the first to get it way back in March 2020, she was very ill and of course unvaccinated as the vaccine wasn’t out then, yet my son in law never got it, he spent a week downstairs on the settee, she’s said since she used to time how long it took from bathroom to bed , it took her a few weeks to be feeling normal but thankfully, no Long Covid like poor Minty’s got x

No I haven't Anne. I don't have any. I only have two days to go and I shan't go out now that I'm aware of my daughter's situation. Does that sound OK do you think?
