Why is there 700,000 children in London living in poverty, When there is so much wealth there amongs MPs and Bankers , and why do Children living in London have more chance of being brought up in Poverty than anywhere else in the UK ?

It's called capitalism - and that London is circa 3 times larger than any other UK city. Mind you, Communism probably is the same, I bet there are a million or more below the poverty line living in cities like Beijing or Shanghai......

They are all planning to cross the channel in unsuitable craft for a better life elsehwhere I hear. I may set up a charity to help them. It would have a lot of support methinks.

There may be a few but 700,000 I'd suggest is a massive exaggeration. Sounds like nearly every child in the capital.

Maybe have a closer look at the definition of poverty in the UK.

Yes the defanition of poverty is the key. If its the bottom 25% for ease then there's allways going to be err 25% whose said to he in poverty. What is the defanition here gulliver please as you forgot to add link to your source
