Spare A Thought...and A Prayer For The Troubled
7 Answers
As I entered the local corner shop, I heard a familiar name mentioned...followed by the word "coroner" in the same sentence. I immediately asked...was this guy-motioning big/tall? Yes...he'd died this morning.
He was a big bear of a Polish man, a very heavy drinker who frequently collapsed with seizures due to drink. Whenever I saw him, since leaving the drop-in, he was trying to get himself sorted. I last saw him about 2 months ago, freshly out of hospital due to seizures and injuring himself. He told me how he'd acted as an interpreter for a female patient who had been beaten by her partner. He was proud that he was only having 2 cans a day.
I found this news quite upsetting and probably inevitable.
RIP Cristophe
