Back again to have another go at Conto's offerings!
A verification for the following and their position in the grid would be appreciated, thanks in advance.
A mature saying (5) : ADAGE
East of Switzerland, old queen makes trench (7): CHANNEL – 12(A)?
Attic smell (5) : MUSTY
How mum passes buck to a guy for shark wrestling (2,3,4,6): GO ASK YOUR MOTHER - 5(D)?
Misguidedly met up with her online, i.e. exchanged contact (9,6) : TELEPHONE NUMBER -2(D)?

Widgeon is wrong, for Dog and... It's Pointer, dog. O, duck and Inter, football team. As Matakari omitted to say - one apposite letter is missing from each clue.
Your Solicitor and Come To Be are both wrong
Matakari, tsk, tsk - it's important to give would-be helpers all the relevant info!
Matakari, your Situation in court is wrong too. I think you have forgotten that clues 'are listed alphabetically by answer', yours are a real non-alphabetical assortment!
Here’s the preamble that I omitted to supply, Cashier:
For each clue, one apposite letter is absent from the wordplay. Clues are listed alphabetically by answer. Answers should be fitted into the numbered grid. Chambers Dictionary is recommended but does not give one commonly used entry.
Number of letters for this clue: 5
Turnover of three-hundred dairies containing teats (5)
Thanks again
Matakari, there are two long answers - and the answer has been given for one of them, as as half the other. There are only 26 answers - note the 26! - and you've now been given quite a few. Have you tried fitting them in round the long answers?
Giving you the placements would 'get you out of the wilderness', but it could mean you don't end up doing very much! And that would be a shame, it's a good puzzle.
Matakari, can you give some indication of what letter each answer begins with? NAC says the answers to the questions are in alphabetical order so you should be able to work it out.
I understand you,NACW, but I did not mean to give me the placements for all of the clues, just for the few that I already have and then I will work from there to get the rest. For example, am I right with these? First, the two long ones:
Is 2(D) TELEPHONE...
5(D) Go ASK YOUR...
3(D) FIANCEE
12(A) CHANNEL
I have other answers and if they are correct, I'll certainly enjoy fitting them in:
POINTER, FRAUD, ADAGE, MUSTY
Matakari, I'm sorry if I'm sounding impatient, testy but if you'd followed the advice given in your first batch, you'd have certainly been able to enter some answers! The answer to 12 A could have been entered on Sunday - as you were told where it went. That would have shown you where the long answers went and you'd have made steady progress, I'm sure.
My 'guidance' -Pointer at 16 A, Adage at 4 D, Fraud at 1 D. There is no Musty.
Sorry again, Matakari - you didn't want placement of all the answers, you initially asked for just 11 (of 26). Mind you, that would have involved a lot of typing for me! You should be well on your way now...
Matakari, you'll get there eventually. It would have been a lot quicker and easier if you'd remembered the alphabetical order, the answers and placing you'd been given...
