One Law For Them, A Different Law For The Rest Of Us
120,000 Fixed Penalty Notices (on the spot fines) were issued last year for breaking lockdownrules. For some House Parties, £10,000 was levied on those organising them. All issued by the police without any trial or jury determining guilt.
Today we hear that 50 people with evidence against them of partying at No.10 (including the Prime Minister and his wife) have been sent a questionnaire by the Police. Apparently they already have 300+ photos of who were at the Parties.
Why weren’t 120,000 given the opportunity to fill in a questionnaire before they were prosecuted. When was this new practice introduced? Has it been used before? Or is this just a special dispensation for our ruling elite ?

Anyone issued with a Fixed Penalty notice, whether that be for speeding, littering, breaking Covid regulations or anything else, has the right to refuse to pay and argue their case before a court.
Anyone who is suspected of a criminal offence has the right to submit a written statement to the police, outlining their version of events. It appears that, in effect, that is what certain people are now being asked to do.
I agree that the use of questionnaires in an investigation is unusual but perhaps the Met (which is usually a grossly inefficient organisation) has for once decided to use an efficient way of doing things?

Gromit you've had about 10 weeks of feeding from Party gate, how much longer do you want?
———-
The weeping and continually running open sore of a rancid government will remain prominent until Gray 2.0 is published and the Met have finished cross-referencing the 50 questionnaires to see who exactly has been telling porkies to cover for Peppa Pig aka Big Hog(not dog)

// What was really wrong is Plod being able to hand out fines of 10K without going to Court //
what was really wrong during the pandemic was the police being left to themselves to make up the rules - like issuing summonses to people with "non essential items" in their shopping trolleys, telling those they found out of their houses that exercise was limited to an hour a day, and the coffee drinkers fined for "having a picnic".....
