from our local council: "Norfolk Library and Information Service believes that no girls, women or individuals with a cervix should be in period poverty" Since when do people need to identify as an 'individual with a cervix'?

This makes me sick. Who the heck are these 'individuals with a cervix' who don't fall into the girls or women categories? If an 'individual' has a cervix, she's a girl or a woman. No one else has one.
Is there a member of staff on hand, by appointment I suppose, to confirm or otherwise the presence of a cervix.

Now that would be a turn-up for the books.
i'll keep my eye open for that job vacancy doug . . .
Time to kick out the looney lefty council for introducing such nonsense.
It's to accommodate women who have decided to pretend to be men. The disturbing thing is that they are being encouraged to believe that because they have said they are men, it must be accepted as fact.

The only way to knock this on the head is to push back against any nonsense like this. Unfortunately, Local Authorities can employ as many people as it takes to facilitate this bilge with the costs, of course, met by the taxpayer.
Norfolk Libraries confirm that there is an opening.
I am ashamed my own county library service is making such a fool of themselves.
Time to elect some sensible county councillors instead of this shower.
Indeed, William, sticking two fingers up in some cases.
wasteful use of English. "No one with a cervix should be in period poverty" will do nicely.
Oooh you are naughty but I like you;-)
Tut jno you snuck in.

(Good to see you posting).
I don't understand how there can be period poverty. Child benefit is paid for girls up to 16 years old or 20 if still in approved education and training. Over 16s/20s should be working or claiming benefits. Sainsbury's sell 24 tampons for £1 and towels at 14 for 70p. How can this be too expensive?
They've clearly failed to read the womb on this one.
