Have anyone here taken Naproxen? I've been given some for sciatica. Never taken them before. What has been your experience with them?

tray good
remember to take lansop for your stomach as well
Question Author
Yes I have them Peter. Thanks
they're just average - they belong to the family ibuprofen that you can buy 3 packs for a £1 in Poundland.

I read the pain relief lasts a lot longer than ibuprofen, JJ. I was just worried about the effects on my stomach.
Took them short term for back pain some years ago. They did help and I had no side effects at all. Now I'm older I would probably have to take something to protect my stomach.
Naproxen is not meant to be taken for long.

Thanks for replies.
I took one last night, it helped a bit. Had to double up on lansorozole though.
Patsy ,I am 87 this month and suffered severe Sciatica a few years ago.I was shown simple exercises to do whilst lying on the bed, only takes a few minutes and they did a brilliant job in healing. Now whenever I feel the first signs of sciatica returning i carry out the excercise. I think you can see the excercise on You tube.Hope this is helpful.

Thank you Whistonian.
I do exercises when I can, they certainly help for a while. I have to get in touch with an hospital today, to see physiotherapist. Silly me did
some quite heavy lifting a few days ago and made it worse.
I've learnt my lesson!
Good luck at the hospital Patsy, the physio should sort you out.
