Potential Exposure To Covid
13 Answers
Hi on Sunday at 7am I went to an outdoor church service for Easter. The service was followed by bacon and egg rolls at a local church hall near the event. I sat down beside a couple I know well from the church I attend. I was sitting right next to the man for over 40 minutes at this table, no mask. He phoned me this afternoon to say last night he was feeling really unwell had a positive LFT and then had it confirmed with PCR. I am a bit concerned, he must have been infectious without knowing when he was there. He is fully vaccinated 3 jabs as I am. I went to my parents house in their late 80s for lunch on Sunday and dinner on yesterday and I am now worried I may be infectious without knowing it. I don't know whether I should isolate just in case and keep on doing LFTs

you should have got it by now ( 4d) altho there are outliers up to 14d
outdoor is VERY unlikely - esp if sunny
( a million went down to Durdle Dor aaaaargh! July 20 in hot bright sunshine and.... no one got it)
getting it means
some have a cold
others say they think they are gonna die.....I sortta favour the second

I don't think you need to worry. We went to church on Sunday. It was packed and all sang lustily. We chatted to a lot of people at close quarters, including one of the Churchwardens - who rang to ask me to cover for something on Monday lunchtime as she had just tested positive. (At 12.35 to be precise.)
We are fine, everyo0ne else we know who was there is fine, so if your man didn't test until Tuesday afternoon I would reckon he wouldn't be infectious.
OH is now 89, but we're not worrying at all. Covid is now 'just this bug' - there is a far worse viral bronchitis going the rounds here (I've had it) and there are more in hospital with it than Covid.
