Just moving some cash across from the UK to our Irish Account and used (as always) TransferWise - now known simply as Wise.

It saved us around £50 this time (compared with mainstream banks) and works like clockwork - very easy and very quick.

Gness reminded me that we first heard about TransferWise on AB, and asked who it was who gave us the advice

A quick search found this thread https://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/ChatterBank/Question1627263.html and a quick read showed that it was 237SJ who was so helpful.

Over the last three or four years it must have saved us thousands of pounds - we owe you several pints, 237SJ, and will be happy to buy them for you if you're ever in Kerry.
