That Feeling When The Xmas Decs Come Down :0(

Been out this morning taking the bunting down ( no easy feat) with my neighbour , he’s got the ladders,everything looks so bare today and it’s drizzling as well, feels like that feeling when your tree comes down at Christmas

I saw virtually no bunting here...not even in the city centre. Guess even the council wasn't involved.

Ours are still up. We got soaked yesterday evening just shifting the party tents and dealing with soaking wet bunting was no fun. So we have taken a collective decision to leave it until it is dry. Which will probably be next June.

Mine were of the plastic variety BM so they were dry ,even though it poured through the night

No bunting but clothes put away in suit bags and major shopping going on for next outfit for 18 days time.

I'm all 'jubileed' out - and I'm the same with Christmas. I'm always pleased to get the decorations down. I have to say though, for the queen's special year I wouldn't mind seeing the flags flying for longer - but then I like to see the Union Jack flying at any time of any year.

Longing for a decent spell of warm weather. I seem to live in fleeces in autumn and winter, so refuse to wear one in June - so I went for a walk yesterday in two jackets and could see my breath in plumes in front of me :(

Post-Christmas used to be one of my busiest times of the year, as a decorator. The tree is packed/thrown away, the decorations come down and the lights disappear and, suddenly, the room looks a tad dull. Send for Ken. Ker-ching:-):-)

It takes me about ten minutes to sort out Christmas put up a little tree change my avatar... I'm usually away from home at the 'C' word but do know what you mean when things start to look spartan all of a sudden.

Our nearest little town heldva whole town street party in the town centre, and
looking at all the photos, it was packed. Then later there was a party for the kids in the park with fun and games. Population is about 8000 and I believe about 1/4 of the population turned up.

We watched everything on the TV. And enjoyed our 4 days.

No bunting for us.
