Please accept my apologies for not being more forthcoming before now. Lynne has now said that I can let you know what's going on.

She has multiply-sited carcinomas & has been diagnosed terminally ill. She left hospital with the express wish that she was allowed to come back to her home & that she didn't want any further treatment.

I'm with her 24/7, she has carer visits several times a day, the District Nurses are on the ball & on call, her GP is checking up on her & Marie Curie nurses are now helping us at night.

I try my best to keep Lynne up to speed with the nonsense that is AB & can say with confidence that she misses you all very much.

I would request that you don't ask for more info because I don't want to appear rude by not answering all your questions, but will try to keep up as best I can.

Love from us both :-) ♥ X

I am so sorry to hear that, I'll be thinking of you.
I am so saddened to read this, I have very fond memories of Mamya from the MOFC days, some great laughs! My thoughts are with both of you, much love the "pie eater"xx
MissTerious, Lottie, I thought I recognised you.
I hope our lovely Mamya got to enjoy that song. Who doesn’t love Abba?
I do feel for you having been there almost exactly 3 years ago, but these times are also precious, I wish you chances to make a few more special memories.
Am so sad and sorry to hear this news.

Thank you all for your kind words & love. I've read out loud all your messages to Lynne & she smiled throughout & truly misses you all :-) X
I hope you are getting the Marie curie nurses to contribute to the song thread :)

Thinking of you all at this difficult time x
Very sad to hear this, big hugs to you both.xx
Very sorry to hear this. Mamya is a special person and I always felt a friendship between us.
Love and hugs to you both. Caran
Such sad news.

Love to you both.

:-))
Seeing this outpouring of love is so wonderful. I know how much my mum loved many of you on here and how AB became a place where she made great friends and found love.

As LiK states mum is terminal but we are all ensuring she is as comfortable and cared for as possible and able to remain in her home in her last days.

It's taking a huge team of us to make this happen and I'm so thankful I have LiK and the family to do this. We set everything up at home and with the NHS so she could stay at home.

I thank everyone involved in her care, her carers who are not just efficient but so kind, the district nurses are so fast and helpful, Marie Curie nurses do an amazing job staying overnight with her, LiK for staying by her side, my husband for all the driving, my sister for all the phone calls and visits (despite a full-time job, a business, 3 kids, and a 350-mile round trip each time), my son for calming her and making her laugh, my best friend for reminding her of the good times, my aunties and uncles coming to see her for cuddles.

And you guys too, even when she was too tired to use the PC your stories and posts were shared with her (and still are), they have kept her going so again, thank you.

If anyone has questions I'm more than happy to reply when I can and if I feel it's appropriate.

-Hazel (Lynne's daughter)
It is a hard time for you all so I am glad that you have each other for support. Just keep on doing as you are and your support for your mum will be so good for her. Take care of each other. Thank you for your up date.
ravenmiss,
like you, my brother and I were told a short time in advance that our mother was going to die. It gives you the opportunity to say everything that needs to be said.
Give her a hug from me x

PS my friend's dog is called Raven. xx
If you get the time and opportunity, Hazel, I'd love it if you could pass my love on. (I ended up being one of Mamya's favourites....I think)

Ps. I don't know any animals called Raven or Hazel. ;-)
Totally gutted to see this, just got to work, so have to rush off. Loads of love to mamya xxx and to LiK and Hazel (had a rabbit called Hazel, if that helps?) Xxx
Hazel ..thank you so much for coming on ..your mum is such a stalwart here on AB..her kind words and omnipresence are part of the basic building blocks that form the main frame and the basis of many cyber friendships... as a daughter that went through similar when my dear dad passed over I know how awful this time is. be sure that you ALL have our very best of wishes at this time... biggest of hugs to mum xx
Ditto what Minty said ^.Please give your Mum my best wishes.
Thank you for posting Hazel. I too have been through the experience with my Dad many years ago. I am so pleased Mamya has such a loving and supporting family. She is such a big part of this site - one of the best, bless her. Give her my love. Lottie x
