Please accept my apologies for not being more forthcoming before now. Lynne has now said that I can let you know what's going on.
She has multiply-sited carcinomas & has been diagnosed terminally ill. She left hospital with the express wish that she was allowed to come back to her home & that she didn't want any further treatment.
I'm with her 24/7, she has carer visits several times a day, the District Nurses are on the ball & on call, her GP is checking up on her & Marie Curie nurses are now helping us at night.
I try my best to keep Lynne up to speed with the nonsense that is AB & can say with confidence that she misses you all very much.
I would request that you don't ask for more info because I don't want to appear rude by not answering all your questions, but will try to keep up as best I can.
Love from us both :-) ♥ X

As LiK states mum is terminal but we are all ensuring she is as comfortable and cared for as possible and able to remain in her home in her last days.
It's taking a huge team of us to make this happen and I'm so thankful I have LiK and the family to do this. We set everything up at home and with the NHS so she could stay at home.
I thank everyone involved in her care, her carers who are not just efficient but so kind, the district nurses are so fast and helpful, Marie Curie nurses do an amazing job staying overnight with her, LiK for staying by her side, my husband for all the driving, my sister for all the phone calls and visits (despite a full-time job, a business, 3 kids, and a 350-mile round trip each time), my son for calming her and making her laugh, my best friend for reminding her of the good times, my aunties and uncles coming to see her for cuddles.
And you guys too, even when she was too tired to use the PC your stories and posts were shared with her (and still are), they have kept her going so again, thank you.
If anyone has questions I'm more than happy to reply when I can and if I feel it's appropriate.

Hazel ..thank you so much for coming on ..your mum is such a stalwart here on AB..her kind words and omnipresence are part of the basic building blocks that form the main frame and the basis of many cyber friendships... as a daughter that went through similar when my dear dad passed over I know how awful this time is. be sure that you ALL have our very best of wishes at this time... biggest of hugs to mum xx
