My wife has been in constant discomfort and frequent severe pain for some months from tenderness and pain in the bladder region. She had a hysterectomy many years ago.
Xray was clear.
Today she had a scan - the sort pregnant ladies have. They were unable to get a clear view of her bladder as there is some sort of 'mass' in front of it.
My wife is not panicking but we are both curious as to what this mass might be.
Any ideas?

barry...it could be many things, but it certainly is a worrying feature.
This will have to be biopsied.
She will almost certainly need an MRI scan as a prelude to biopsy.

Thanks, Sqad, it's dreadful for her to be in so much discomfort and constantly having to wee. She is still only taking ibuprofen and paracetamol.

Hopefully she will be seeing our GP soon with a full report from the scan.
Make sure that she has full doses of both drugs to keep her pain free.....Paracetamol 1,000mgs every 4-6 hours and Ibuprofen 400mgms 6 hourly at least if necessary.

Keep us informed.

Thank you, will do.
I had problems 'down there' a few years back
took rapid action, sample to the G,P. within days
a date was set for a hospital visit, and shortiy
afterwards they remove a malignent tumor, and
they are still checking that everything is O.K.
Of course this was pre Covid days but speed is of the
essence.
Good luck
