Speaking only for myself I’d say that this is a result of decades of warring factions not sorting out the country one way or another.
Couple that with a religion that allows 6,7 and 8 children families in a drought/famine/war torn country and anyone giving money and aid would surely get weary?

A UN sanctioned government and implementation of a proper sterilisation/contraception programme might go some way to easing the problems and issues?

Doesn't help when bent politicians use Aid for political reasons. Or when they cover up outbreaks of serious diseases to shine up their CV's. Does it, Teddy?

He makes a valid point. When the world’s media outlets talk about the war in the Ukraine in terms of “blonde, blue-eyes victims” and the tragedy that this happening to “civilised people” I think we get the subtext.
