So Much More Than Strictly...

...to watch.
Thoroughly disenchanted with what once was good Saturday night viewing, I scoured the listings and watched The Dambusters (again), a 2022 documentary on Diana Dors and Eye In The Sky - 2015 film I had not seen before but I was captivated by the story. On checking the full credits there was no direct reference to any advisory role (unless it came under general thanks).
The insight to the COBRA machinations was fascinating, to say the least and I wondered if the whole film was just down to fiction in that respect. Alan Rickman's last film and a superb performance by him.
I shall look regularly for decent films to watch on Saturdays in future ;)

When there are documentaries about early civilizations, archaeology, or ones like A House Through Time*, I'll definitely tune in.
*I'd seen part 1 of series 4 last week, and can't for the life of me find what night it was. If anyone knows...help!

Watched Eye In The Sky a few years back. Edge of the seat stuff though nothing really happens.
Tigger, daughter's been on about Dahmer just this afternoon. She said she had a bit of trouble getting into it for the first episode or two but them thoroughly enjoyed it. If 'enjoyed' is the right word to use given the subject matter. She couldn't believe the stupidity of the police.

I turned the telly on to set up a recording just before going out last night and was unfortunate enough to catch "Strictly Come Dancing" just as the runners and riders were being introduced. The first couple I saw was a woman who was around four feet shorter than her male partner. Then two women in boiler suits (one who appeared to have eaten all the pies). And then two blokes. I didn't see Victor Sylvester ("slow, slow, quick-quick, slow" was his catchphrase).
Fortunately, I'd booked a table at my favourite Chinese restaurant.
