Can anyone recommend an online NHS prescription service that delivers? I'm having a mare with my local chemist and need to find a reliable alternative for my meds.

Thanks

I have had no issues at all with Lloyds Direct. I have used their service for a couple of years and can highly reccommend.
I use Pharmacy2U. Never had a problem.
Pharmacy 2U has my vote too. Been using them almost 3 years now. Very good indeed.

Thank you, both. I know Lloyds don't stock my meds in their shops. I'll see if they do it as an online order.

I looked at Pharmacy2U. I'll contact them as well.
rocky, is it you who has desmopressin?
If so i doubt any pharmacies generally stock it, and it will always have to be a special order.
Anyway, taking not of this thread as ive just about reached the end of my patience with my local boots

Yes it is Bednobs, good memory, Lloyds don't stock it in the dose that I need, the other local pharmacy does, but they are useless. They actually gave me 22 less tablets than the prescription said the last time I put an order in. 11 days short, and not a word to Mr RR when he picked them up. I only know because I checked as they'd shorted me previously. Now I'm having to tackle my GP to arrange for a prescription for the shortfall. It's all unnecessarily stressful.

I've emailed Lloyds, and there's no contact information that I can find on the Pharmacy2U website. You have to register first. No ta.
On the Pharmacy2U website

"Phone Call - You may request a free call back, call 0113 265 0222 (All call backs are done the same day.)"
Question Author
Thank you Corby. I never saw that. I'll give them a ring.
Question Author
Well, just tried the number. Went round the houses for 5 minutes then they said check website for info then hung up. No option for call back.
Question Author
Lloyd's can't supply. Just waiting for Pharmacy2u to get back to me.
My worry would be having meds delivered by Royal Mail. Even before the present strikes, our delivery service was so poor - sometimes only two deliveries a week (dire shortage of staff locally, apparently).
Then, what happens if they go missing or are delivered to the wrong address?

That is at the back of my mind too, Gingejbee. If it wasn't for the fact that the chemist I have to use is utterly crap, I wouldn't be looking elsewhere. I've just emailed a chemist near where I work to see if they can supply my meds. It shouldn't be this hard, it really shouldn't. How can one of the main pharmacies in the country not be able to supply what you need, Unbelievable. My life without the meds is unbearable.
As you require your meds long term can your doctor not give you a long term prescription say 6 to 9 months. I get one of my meds from an online company in Canada as they are not available in Europe. They ship a 6 month supply and advice when I need to renew. I just send a photo of the prescription
^Whenever we've tried to get a script for longer, we're told that 2 months is the longest possible. (I don't know whether this is an NHS "rule" or just local GPs decision).
Question Author
That's what I've been told as well. 2 months at most. Ridiculous, I'll be on these meds for the rest of my life.
Question Author
You can get the contraceptive pill for 6 months, though.
Question Author
Pharmacy2u cannot guarantee supply of my meds. Looks like I'm stuck with the craphole around the corner.
You could try the Canadian one I use. Legal chemist with on line service. My meds, prescribed, not available in Europe. 6 month supply no problem. No duty when arrives in UK. Fully declared etc. reminds you when refill due
calmck, would your Canadian pharmacy supply the drugs at NHS prices, or free if rocky qualifies?
Question Author
I'd never in a million years get a 6 month prescription from my GP. I had to argue the toss for 2 months
