Just flown home from Barbados on a Tui flight, and one of the male cabin crew was morbidly obese - he could barely get down the aisles, and only then by bumping into seats one side or the other.

I am all for anyone having a job, and I know hat the days of glamourous 'trolley dollies' are gone, but surely there are safety implications in someone that large handing emergency situations.

Any thoughts?

Is that why they call them Jumbo jets?
Not really.
My friend's granddaughter is a very glamorous 'trolley dolly' or cabin crew as they are known now.
It never ceases to amaze me that so many NHS workers are seriously obese.
I thought there was a weight restriction on being given a job on a plane exactly because of that. Imagine him squashing the other crew in the galley. Perhaps he put on the weight after getting the job, and no one liked to mention it.
I wouldn’t like to see him barrelling down the aisle towards me.
